About Me
I completed my bachelor degree at Carleton University in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology. In addition, I attended L'Université de Montréal and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières for the Explore Program for french.
As a communication major and psychology minor, I learned to recognize the different ways in which a person's behaviour, psychology and attitude can be influenced by the various communication mediums and their content.
After completing my Bachelor's Degree, I wanted to further my knowledge of communication and marketing, and apply it into events, I decided to pursue a postgraduate certificate in Event Marketing at Seneca College. The program of event marketing offered hands on experience through classroom workshops, event allocations, and networking sessions with industry leaders and partners in order to prepare students for the industry. In addition to my textbook knowledge, I am obtaining experience in the field in various ways, I am currently working for Marin Marketing as a marketing assistant, mainly focusing on social media marketing through blogs, twitter and Facebook. In the past I worked for Seneca College in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning as a KPI ambassador that worked in promotional events, as well as customer research. Furthermore, she participated as a marketing volunteer in the Toronto Ultimate Fashion show being held in Toronto, January 2015 and is currently involved as a volunteer supervisor and fashion show volunteer with the Platinum Bridal Show taking place in Toronto, April 2015.
Throughout this process, I have shown the ability to create novel event proposals, feedback and promotions. I have also proven to be a responsible, hard working individual who constantly demonstrates strong problem solving skills and is recognized as a detail oriented leader. I am passionate about experiential marketing that focuses on tying together the different aspects of arts & culture, fashion and entertainment to provide customers and audiences with innovative, unique and memorable experiences that will aid in creating loyalty, and awareness for a brand, product or service.
