Marketing Manager
Re-Volt Electric Bikes

2015

In March, 2015 rE-VOLT Electric Bikes made their debut in Panama City, Panama. The company's main focus is to provide tourists and citizens with an alternative transportation method for touring the city's best sights: Cinta Costera and Casco Viejo. There are two eco-friendly transportation options available to customers, they can either rent an e-bike and tour the area by themselves, or they can pay a fee and get a tour in the tricycle with a personal driver. 

 

As the marketing coordinator for rE-VOLT Electric Bikes my responsibilities are to:

• Create, deliver, edit, and optimize marketing materials

• Ensure that content sourced and published is of interest to the target market 

• Supervise social media outreach

• Deliver content via  Twitter and Facebook 

• Coordinate flow of information and communication and disseminate it according to plan/strategy via Hootsuite 

• Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key social media contacts 

• Establish a flow of communication between CEO and the marketing department 

 

 

Volunteer Coordinator & Registration Volunteer
Toronto Platinum Bride Show
Toronto, ON
2015

On April 19th Veronica Events and Gabriel PR brought to Toronto for the first time The Platinum Bride Show. In this show, local vendors were able to expose their products and services to the public, network with each other, and international magazine Munaluchi was able to make its debut in the Canadian Wedding Industry. 

 

I had a variety roles in this bridal show, my main role was volunteer coordinator, in which I was responsible for:

• Attending training sessions of April 12th and communicate to volunteers the expectations, roles and schedules

• Performing venue walk throughs with volunteers 

• Coordinating volunteers and assigning duties throughout the show 

• Updating the volunteer list as required by event coordinators  

 

As a registration volunteer, my role included: 

• Setting up show space pre-trade show 

• Managing entry list and checking guest documents upon entry to show

•      Communicating changes, requirements and time checks between event coordinator and guests

•      Packing gift bags with marketing materials from sponsors, vendors and show products

•      Handling cash payments from on site ticket sales 

 

 

Stylist Assistant, Event & Social Media Coordinator
La Maison De Pascale

On January 24 and 25th, designer Marina Pascale took her swimwear from Maison de Pascale to the Toronto Ultimate Travel Show's runway. 

 

I had a variety roles in this fashion show, my main role was social media and event coordinator, in which I was responsible for:

• Proposing different marketing activities to obtain target market awareness for the fashion show and product

• Publicizing marketing content for Maison de Pascale on social media platforms 

• Coordinating and assisting photographers, models and make up artists pre, during and post show

• Communicating changes, requirements and time checks between stylists, make up artists, models and photographers

• Actively and effectively solving problems faced throughout the show in a quick manner 

• Performing tasks in a fast paced environment in a designated time period 

• Managed and stored all paper documents required for fashion show 

 

As a stylist assistant, my role included:

• Helping organize swimwear for each model pre, during and post show

• Partnering models with makeup artists and stylists

• Lining up models according to the order of the outfits on the rack back stage

• Facilitating outfit changes backstage 

 

Social Media Coordinator

The Toronto Argonaut's Flag Football Tournament on November 7, 2014 was an interactive activity put on by the Toronto Argos for the students of Christian and Catholic elementary schools, grades 6-8.  

 

As part of the social media team for the tournament, I was in charge of:

• Keeping social media updated on the event

• Posted pictures on Twitter with the hashtags: #TorontoArgos, #KiskoSports, #FlagFootballTournament

• Blogged a reflection on the event

 

LASOS President

LASOS is a non-for-profit student organization that is open to all students that focuses on bringing together those of Latin American or Spanish roots, and share our culture with other students interested in learning and experiencing the Latin American culture. We strive to raise awareness of issues happening in our countries, and execute fundraising events to support projects that better living back home. 

 

Duties include: 

• Attend and chair all Club/Association meetings

• Attend inter-club meetings

• Assume responsibility for all Club/Association actions and events 

• Plan and execute fundraising events 

• Liaise with the campus SSF Coordinator for Clubs/Associations on a regular basis

• Prepare and submit an annual report of the activities of the Club/Association to its members and the SSF

• Prepare proposed Event Proposal and/or Budget Request and Special Event Budget Request proposals

• Provide a Transition Report to the SSF Coordinator at the end of the winter semester

• Be a signing office for L.A.S.O.S

• Adhere to the Club/Association Constitution and utilize it for reference in operations

Notetaker

The Paul Menton Center at Carleton University is dedicated to helping students with disabilities with their education. 
 

I volunteered as note taker; therefore I was responsible for:

• Attending every class 

• Typing up my notes 

• Submitting my notes within 2 days to the center in order for the students to be able to study off them.

 

Ticket Selling & Promotion 
The Humanitarian Organization of Latin American Students at Carleton
Ottawa, ON
2011-2012
H.O.L.A.S is an organization that raises funds in order to support projects or organizations in Latin America. In my first year of university I was highly active with this organization. In the fall semester of 2011, we raised funds to make an "Infant Nutrition Center" in Las Vegas, Honduras. The following semester, the project of interest was to economically aid the construction of a school for individuals with disabilities in Parana, Brazil. 

 

My involvement with these projects included, but where not limited to: 

• Promoting the event through social media, face to face interactions and flash mobs

• Raising awareness and explaining the projects

• Selling tickets

• Helping out in setting the event and supervision
