• Maintaining my department clean, tidy and presentable 

• Inventory replenishment 

• End of the day clean up

• Visual Merchandising

• Handling cash, debit, and credit payments 

 

 

Marin Marketing offers a full scale of in-house services to meet clients' needs. From strategy, creative development, and customer experience, to implementation and performance measurement in traditional and digital media, Marin Marketing possesses a wide range of abilities that can maximize ROIs and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

 

As a marketing assistant, duties require:

• Creating research for current or potential clients, including data, statistics; or information related to market, competitor and internal information

• Preparing supporting materials for planning meetings, and take minutes as required

• Using Hootsuite, generate and deploy all social media tweets for current client roaster and maintain content calendars updated

• Updating and maintaining In + Around Kleinburg online magazine via Wordpress

• Writing, editing and publishing blogs to the online magazine

• Editing and deploying In + Around Kleinburg Newsletter to clients and their corresponding database biweekly via MailChimp

• Collaborating ideas and suggesting new initiatives or areas of improvement

• Providing support to the Account Executives for any assigned project

• Administering & collecting the survey

• Explaining the survey and procedures

STARFISH Creative Events + Inspiration is an event company located in Ottawa that works to create social, corporate and charitable events for companies and individuals. 

Billings Bridge Mall is one of the many accounts that STARFISH deals with. They plan and execute events for different seasons, holidays and purposes. 

I worked in the events that STARFISH organized through the months of April to June in Billings Bridge. 

 

In the Easter event:

• Setting up, organizing and 

• Greeting customers

• Face painting 

• Creating rapport with customers

 

In the Drive in Style Campaign:

• Help set up the event

• Pick up and sign store products for the mannequins 

• Approach customers

• Raise awareness for the factors that cause distracted driving

• Getting people to sign up for the pledge 

• Taking pictures of or with customers and the ‘Drive in Style’ frames and signs

• Telling people about the contest and final event 

• Distributing prizes

The Latin American Cultural Center, LACC, works to unite the Latin American culture and work to strengthen the cultural roots of the younger generations, as well as the older generations. 

I volunteered with the communications aspect of the center. 

 

My role required:

• Creating a webpage with my teammates

• Maintenance of the social media sites, such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter

• Keep kids active, and stimulate learning environments

• Expected to attend meetings, and propose marketing initials

• In charge of jotting down meeting notes and distributing them to each organizational member of LACC

• Design informational brochures, business cards and posters

Winners is a large retailer that buys their merchandise that target specific trends and respond quickly to customer demands with low and affordable prices. 

 

As a store associate, liabilities were:

• Maintaining different areas of the store clean and organized

• Restocking products

• Interacting with customers, and providing excellent customer service

• Processing transactions and packaging products at the cash register

• Documenting sales in jewelry
